About us

The inspiration behind LPA Lighting is best conveyed through the words of Le Corbusier

Architecture is the masterly, correct and magnificent play of masses brought together in light

LPA Lighting is an independent lighting design consultancy which was formed in 2007.  Based in Leeds, it is is run by Liz Peck.

Liz has a wealth of experience in lighting design, having been in the industry for 20 years.  She started her lighting career with Concord Lighting in early 1999 and joined the lighting design department of Concord:marlin two years later.  In 2003, she joined Philips Lighting as Senior Lighting Designer and worked there for just under five years, working on a number of their flagship projects.

Liz gained a Masters Degree in Light & Lighting from the Bartlett School of Architecture (University College London) in 2004.

She is a Fellow & Past President of the Society of Light & Lighting and currently serves on the Technical and Publications Committee. In 2015, as President, she led the multi-award winning ‘Night of Heritage Light’ project, illuminating nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites across the UK on a single evening to celebrate the UNESCO International Year of Light. With an ambition of reaching a wider, public, audience and inspiring a new generation of lighters, the event was featured on BBC’s The One Show.  The project was also recognised by UNESCO at their closing ceremony in Mexico and in their final report of the year.
